P+i delivered a new stand alone supermarket for Great Lakes Council.  Woolworths is leasing the completed facilities from Council.  The supermarket integrates seamlessly with existing retail offerings, and is intended to act as a catalyst for further retail improvements in Tuncurry.

P+i was originally engaged to provide strategic and financial advisory services.  The brief was to identify viable uses for a key undeveloped site owned by Council.  Council’s objective was to redevelop the site to provide community benefit and specified outcomes for local residents, compatible with Council’s vision for the local precinct.

After working through various site options, P+i affirmed the feasibility of a supermarket and sought interest from major tenants.  We have subsequently been retained to continue to provide project and financial management advice, including:

  • Commercial / Contractual Matters  - acting as Council’s agent in negotiations with prospective tenants, and working closely with legal advisors to ensure contracts reflect agreed commercial positions.
  • Design Development – managing architects and engineers through an iterative design process.
  • Managing the DA Process – Including engaging and coordinating the various consultants (e.fg. planning, acoustic, traffic, landscape, etc.) required to prepare and lodge the development application.
  • Tendering Construction – Preparing and conducting a two stage tender for fixed-price construction of the supermarket.
